lots of Trucks on the road

Sep 30 to Oct 4/2020, Burns Lake, Fraser Lake, Prince George, Quesnel, Williams Lake, Clinton

The landscape really changed. From Hazelton on it did open up even more. Farmland, lumber yards and the wildlife changed into livestock. Also, more traffic. We spent a little time looking at real estate but only lake front. Holy crap. It is almost free down here (compared to Yukon ), and you pay below asking. I get a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom HOUSE with a nice kitchen and lakefront for Can. $309000. In Yukon I get a cabin, no running water, leaking roof, almost no isolation in the floor, kitchen from 40 years ago and I pay almost $300.000 for not even waterfront. Or a tear down for $ 255.000 in Tagish on a wilderness lot not even 1 Acre. The downside to buying something in this area: the winter is still long and cold. We stayed 2 nights in Burns Lake at a free community campsite right on the lake. Fraser Lake also offers a free campsite, so we stayed there as well for a night. From there on it was only driving to Clinton, with no special events or spectacular overnight spots. On Sunday, October 4th we checked in at an RV park in Clinton as we were due for a shower. It was nice also to have power for some electric heat.
